Apple Contact Tracing Tech

Apple’s Contact Tracing Tech is the latest Apple featural app that was released in this coronavirus pandemic situation. It related to Apple’s exposure notification system and before going to use this newbie facility you should know about all the things on new contact tracing tech.

Coronavirus has been Subdued the whole world. The virus speedily spread everywhere through the air. It is easily transmitted from one human to another or a group of people. That is a dangerous situation and that’s why it is a pandemic.  Governments and healthcare organizations are looking to find ways to stop the viral spread. The contract tracking procedure basically helps to identify COVID-19 affected or positive people and then they can be isolated. So it helps to stop the spread of the virus.

Using this latest contact tracking app the governments and health agencies could able to automatically notify COVID-19 when someone is positive. So then they can isolate and quarantine to prevent other people from getting the virus.

Contact tracing API from Apple and Google

The exposure notification API comes from Apple and Google from here. Technology giants understand the importance of this contact tracing API, so they are involved in creating one. Using this official API, contact tracking apps from governments and health agencies work well on iPhones and Android devices.

iOS has a number of limitations and restrictions. So it limits the contact tracing app performances and then it limits the app usefulness.

Here the partnerships between Apple and Google are very well important, as interactions between contact tracking apps are essential to make the overall process a success. This could be the first time that Apple and Google worked together on an API to ensure interoperability among the two major smartphone platforms. These two companies working on integrating a broad connectivity tracking platform by directly integrating this API with iOS and Android to be available in further months. This will most likely be part of iOS 14.

It’s important to note that when Apple and Google first announced it, they called it as contact tracing technology. With the initial announcement, Apple has developed several improvements to the API, which is now known as an exposure notification system.

Here Bluetooth is the major media that API uses to send anonymous identifiers to nearby devices through your iPhone.  Other devices also broadcast and obtain such identifiers. Those identifiers stored on the devices itself.  Here when a user sends reports as COVID-19 positive, data is sent to everyone using a contact tracing app.

Their device will go through the log of devices that have been in their range for the past 14 days and let them know if they are connected to that COVID-19 positive person. Apple has taken a decentralized approach here since the device log is stored on a user device.

Is there an Apple contact tracing app?

Many Apple users are confused because they think that  Apple is going to release a contact tracing app. here the truth is not the case. The company goes with an API that developers can use to create contact tracing apps. This API is only available to government agencies and cannot be used by third-party app developers.
